How Growing Up Around Weddings Inspired My Career.

Growing Up in the Wedding Industry
As a wedding content creator in Florida, my journey started long before I ever picked up an iPhone to film a wedding. Growing up, weddings were never just something I saw in movies. I was lucky enough to be part of the wedding world from the time I was seven.
In 2008, my dad started his wedding DJ company AnyDayDj in Pensacola, and from that moment on, our lives were never quite the same. He took a chance on himself to chase a passion he loved—music—and in the process taught our family what it really looks like to build something from the ground up. His leap of faith gave us lessons in business, opportunity, and, most importantly, the friendships that make the wedding industry so special.
Some of my favorite (and not-so-favorite) childhood memories are of standing behind the DJ booth, helping my dad pack and unpack his gear, or setting up photo booths late into the night. In high school and early college, I worked alongside Perryn at Sweet P Weddings. That meant weekends steaming linens, folding tables and chairs, checking timelines, laughing on road trips to venues, and making those late-night drives home after a long wedding day.
Those experiences showed me that weddings aren’t just about one big moment—they’re built on teamwork, heart, and community.
How Content Creation Found Me
Being surrounded by so much love and celebration at such a young age shaped the way I see the world. I realized early on that behind every wedding is a team of people working hard to create magic, and I knew deep down I wanted to be part of that magic too.
Fast forward a few years, life threw me a curveball. After tearing my ACL, MCL, and meniscus, I started sharing my recovery journey online. What began as simple updates turned into something bigger. I discovered the power of storytelling through content. I realized that even in everyday moments, storytelling has the ability to connect, inspire, and make people feel seen.
Why I Started I Do Socials
That discovery carried into my career. Today, I work as a marketing content creator, helping businesses share their stories through visuals, strategy, and connection. That role taught me so much about capturing attention and creating with intention, but my heart kept pulling me back to where it all started: weddings.
And that’s how I Do Socials was born. For me, it’s never been about just capturing pretty videos. It’s about the in-between moments: the tears no one saw coming, the laughter you’ll want to replay, and the little details you might not have even noticed happening in real time.
Growing up in this industry taught me what goes on behind the scenes, and I know how much heart every single wedding holds. My mission is to give couples something they can look back on that feels authentic, timeless, and true to their story.
Capturing Weddings Across the Gulf Coast
Looking back now, it feels like everything came full circle. From helping my dad set up DJ booths and photo booths to now being trusted to capture some of the most meaningful days of people’s lives, I couldn’t be more grateful.
I Do Socials is based in Pensacola, Florida, and I capture weddings across the Gulf Coast and beyond. Grateful for my family, for the foundation they gave me, for this industry I grew up in, and for every couple who lets me tell their story.
